I have a dilog multi test when filling out test sheets i know you are supposed to write in the serial numberbut it has none.Does anyone with one know what to fill in here?Do i just write model number?

Ha ha, this old chestnut. The serial number should be on your receipt or calibration certificate, it's not on the unit itself anywhere.
 
Seen some instruments with number on them got the receipt somewhere and will dig it out need it for 2391 on Thursday cheers rocker.honest.

If the meter has no serial number on it how do you identify it and match it to the calibration cert? and even register it for and get warranty on the unit

For calibration it is normal to have the serial no on the certificate so it must have one even if it is hidden in the battery compartment
