10 second trip

Tested some out side lights today and it triped after 10 seconds. With all loads disconnected.


Don't understand why it would trip after 10 seconds.


Had a slight short on the cable of 95k ohms

Any ideas

Making the circuit live and timing how long it takes to trip hardly qualifies as 'testing'. Where and how did you measure the 95k ohms?

bad trip. even the cheap stuff bought in lime street gives you a 20 minute trip.

Me today over my toolbox head butted the customers foot and got a nice carpet burn on my face

500V across L and N of the lights usually = flied lice, ( sorry, fried lights ).

give up pete. it's like pulling teeth. maybe next week we'll get all the info. to give an educated guess.
