Hi! Can anyone help me, I am working on an invention.. I want to put a programmable timer between a 12v battery and a 12v appliance.... Is this possible with off the shelf stuff on ebay.. I am trying to create a prototype product from an idea that I have had, obviously I can't say exactly what it is !!!! :)
Any help would be massively appreciated. cheers, Nick.

I think switching equipment via time switches, has already been invented..
Now controlling equipment via you mobile, thats fairly new

you still have to remember to send a text or command...... You dont send your alarm clock a text to go off and wake you up do you ????? smart arz!

Yes i send my alarm clock a command to wake me up........i send it from the pub...because Ill be to slaughtered to program it when i get home...

Pitfalls include: Current-hungry industrial timer running the battery flat before the gizmo gets to do its job. Unpredictable behaviour when battery is low e.g. timer cycling on and off. For many 12V gizmos that use a lot of current, you might need a relay on the timer output.

More info needed...
