Think that's the problem. Unless you buy a fully populated CU from any manufacturer, they cost silly money
no schneider acti9 rcbo's are very expensive.

a fully populated mk board is cheaper XD

there mcbs are arund £15 each

Well the Acti9 range are the old MG distribution boards rather than consumer units so you would expect them to be rather more costly

I'll use whatever the wholesaler has on the shelf, probably contactum as that's what they've always had in the past

might have a punt on the starbreaker metal jobby. i like the plug-in MCB idea.

I used to fit loads of those and they are nice , the only problem is they are not very flexible , in the way of configuration...

The new amendment 3 has come to MKs help , with those cheap plastic carcasses they had before , nearly every lid hinge broke on those old plastic ones...

Fitted a plastic Starbreaker a couple of years ago. Seem crazy we are being bombarded about using torque drivers etc etc, to make sure all the terminals are properly tightened, and these mcb's just push in!

which idea was the inspiration for Mr. Wago. spring tension contacts beat screws, hands down.

Only until they give out and start to burn.
Just look at the troubles federal stab looks had. And it's interesting that square d's plug in MCBs disappeared out of the limelight along with the plug in panel boards that were around for a while

Don't doubt the technology, just don't understand the ideas behind reg 421.1.201. Use this system, problem solved, plastic fantastic.
