Hi All

I'm still training and wonder if someone could explain the diversity factor that can be applied when specing for a cooker install and knowing what cable and mcb to use?

Many Thank in advance

Find out total load & put to amps

Take first 10 amp.
Take 30% of remaining amps & add to the 10amp
If a socket is on the ccu add another 5amp

You now have a diversified load for circuit design.

Look in the OSG

and as a result you will often find that a 6mm cable on a 32 amp breaker will do unless the installation method derates the cable significantly :)
