Hi guys,

I have obtained my provisional red CSCS Card and I have enrolled in the 2365 L2 and L3 course at Trade skills 4 U which starts in April. I am currently working as an electricians mate on site and I had to prove that I had enrolled on the course so they would let me work as a mate.

Which is the right card for me to apply for? I could apply for the trainee card, but would I still be allowed to work on site as a mate on ÂŁ10 an hour or would I be paid less? If so is it possible for me to just apply for the electricians mate card?

All helpful comments appreciated :cyclist:

Sorry I meant the card which you need to work as an Electricians mate is the electrical labourers card. Is that correct? If I apply for the trainee card will I then get on site as an improver?

The card you need would be trainee ecs card. If you visit the ecs website, it will give you details of how to apply and the requirements of applications.
