hello just started my 2330 level 2 and 3 don t know which route to go maintenance or installation which one has more work and better money cheers

Hi and welcome to the community!:D

It depends on what you want to do, domestic, commercial or industrial!

Being an electrician isn't about how much money you can earn and where the jobs are, it's about enjoying the job you are doing! What I am saying is at the moment it seems as though there are more maintenance jobs out there, but what's the point you go down that route if you actually want to do installations. You must not base your studies around where the jobs are. Base your studies on what you want to do at the end!!!

Good Luck:)

Ditto. If you get the opportunity to try each one, you'll know when you've got the one for you. Even if you have to offer to work for nowt, it'll be worth knowing otherwise you'll end up wondering whether the grass is greener later down the line when its harder to change.

We do a bit of each, but i prefer install for having something to be proud of at the finish really, but you can earn more doing lots of small maintenance jobs, but its difficult to even get to the point of having a choice when you are starting out, sadly.

Good Luck

Ian;)
