Went to a customers today to with some HPS lamps for fittings bought by himself, the only info on the fittings is HPS 70w lamps, so picked some up from wholesalers and they didn't work, the lamp box says must be used with correct ballast, can anyone tell me how many different options there could be for a HPS fitting? Wholesalers obviously shut but that was the only lamps they had anyway!

have you checked whether it;s internal or external igniters?

Thanks guys, now I think of it the wholesaler did mention about an igniter........or ignitor.....?

These lamps obviously don't have and that is the problem, thanks again much appreciated, merry Xmas!

those with integral igniter are marked with an "I" (in a triangle)

Looked them up on eBay, can order them in but was hoping to get them sooner, do you know anywhere that would stock them? Yesss only have the external igniters!
