insulation resistance testing

When carring out a Insulation Resistance Test on a 3 phase motor Circuit do you test the motor itself too or only the supply cable to the motor or is it the same as other circuits disconect the motor because it is the load?

After the test what Final Safety Considerations should you have?

Just test the supply.

Be aware that when you reconnect the motor that the supply is switched off, so as to not start the motor when you are close to it.
