Dear all...

I am thinking of buying a multimeter. I have seen a Vichy VC97 for sale, on e-bay for £20 new.

It looks good enough, auto ranging....likened to a 'Fluke 17B'

Would this be a good investment?

Cheers,

Wayne

as a multimeter is used generally for fault finding and general use, not for schedule of test results, then almost anything that does what you need will do.

I have a Fluke 70 25 year old multimeter inside a rubber case so I do intruder and electrical repairs and its a great tool but like everything else you need to get a decent one then look after it.
