I have a kew tech KT65 when im insulation testing at 500v its taking its time to get to the 2 grand mark on some of the ring mains is this normal or have i brought a donkey ehhh awww

hi,hoping someone can answer this problem as i have the same on my kt64

It can take a fair few seconds to IR test, especially of RFC, normally due to the length of the circuit meaning it takes time to "charge" the circuit.

What do you mean by "2 grand mark"? It hardly reads to 2,000 Megohms?!?!

I have a KT64 and it's just as Jason.S says.

It can often take a while for an insulation reading to climb, it's quite common.
