Hi, Im Luke and new to the forum.

To put you in the picture... I was 23 and decided to go back to college to be an Apprentice Electrician. I had a job for a one man band rewiring houses, etc... And I had a 2377 in PAT testing and worked for my self on the side.

He laid me off, closed his company and went into kitchen fitting. College said I can stay and study whilst I look for a job.

Turns out the big companies seem to be taking on school leavers on the cheap.

Anyway I completed my first year. On my second year I was told I could no longer get funding and I could pay £1000+ per year for the next 2 years on a different course that would not fully qualify me.... Why would I do that???

I put myself on a private course (Yes I read the forums), I have completed, and passed my Part P, 17th Edition, and City and Guilds Level 2 Inspection and testing (I am going to progress to level 3).

I fully understand I need experience and wish to seek work. Im 23, I drive, and Im very keen and hard working.

I would happily do some work experience, If anyone could do with a hand a few days a week, or even better a full time job....

Thanks for reading....

Luke

Well I would like to do domestic/commercial. At the moment I have a small part time job (non electrical), and I am PAT testing for myself :)
