:bigcry:Really this is grim.that is 20 year ago money they are offering there.zero hour contracts as well.
They deserve th worst these jokers.

well for that rate I wont be sending my CV in, I was earning more than that as a 3rd year apprentice in 08/09, an agency were offering a similar rate the other week and wanted 2391, I rung up because I could of sworn a 1 was missing from infront of the 9, turns out I was wrong so they got a piece of my mind,

If those jobs are low paid then what would you consider a fair hourly rate for general electrical work? Isn't there an industry body recommended rate?

JIB rate is about £13 - £14 depending on grading and transport arrangements. I have always viewed that rate as an industry recognised "minimum wage"

Timeserved sparks that take these rates are Scum in my eyes, ruining everything we've worked hard for. 8-10 pound an hours is a domestic installers rate (can't believe I used the term DI seriously then) What the hell has happened to this industry??
