Can anyone that declares themself to be SQEP (suitably qualified and expierenced Person) in the use of the Metrel MI3000 easi plus please advise me if there is a requirement to null this particular instrument before Zs measurments? No reply required from those that don't use a Metrel mi3000 easi plus.
 
Not on a Zs. I use the MI3000 btw.

i think its just the fluke that requires you to null out test lead impedances before carying out loop.....

Zero leads, don't zero the leads, zero the leads, don't zero the leads...........................................................

Contact resistance will screw any measurements anyway.
If you get <75% of Max Zs, don't worry about it.

Well he did ask, just making sure I meet his requirements before answering his question. Next time I'll post up my certificates. Only cost me a four pack of beer and the price of the post office photo copier.
