Undertook a full rewire on an old one bedroom quinta last month, the old board was not exactly a piece of tech art !

I know of at least 2 MEM Kantark fuseboards still in use, the wiring in one house is in terrible condition, some surface wiring is so perished the conductors are visible in places. My boss priced to rewire the house 30 odd years ago, bloke still won't have it done. bloody farmers! The other is not quite so bad, that one has double pole fusing, another tight fisted farmer! There is still quite a lot of cast iron stuff in old factories around here, that stuff lasts forever. Wish there was more open fronted stuff still about.
