Had a job for a friend of father In law rental house pretty much total gut but wasn't sold to me like that. Went in for a periodic found about £300 of remedials broken sockets damaged pendants etc
When I turned up for quoted works he'd changed his mind and wanted all tucking removed sockets flushed in, new kitchen so just carried on. Job was then a nightmare back and fore moving switches 2inches. Moved to point as he knocked a wall down and extended chimney breast 4ft so well off centre etc.
7 spots kitchen FR rated LED lamp
Wire 2 ext lights client supplied
Alter 6mm cooker supply
5 new flush double kitchen
4 appliances with fcu kitchen
Flush in 5 surface doubles existing
Add 4 new flush double
10 new surface doubles 1st floor just above skirting, about 3 existing but swooped out for new
2 smoke 1 heat 1 co2 all wireless
Flush existing boiler controls
Flush tv socket 1 hdmi 1 scart and aerials plus 20mtr run to sky dish -shotgun
New 6mm shower supply wall mount switch flush 15mtr
Replace 5 pendant
Fit 3 decorative light client supplied
Replace 10x light switch
Supply and fit 2x Wylex Rcbo

Total I come to is 2400 not vat reg have also taken off cost of periodic @ 180 so 2220 bottom line

True shows a bit of willing tho. He is in the middle of a bleed at the mo as I emailed him the 2nd stage payment of 1k last night and he was goin to take of the 750 1st stage he already paid and send me 250 today. I think my price is really fair for the hassle tbh

count how many days you spend there, multiply that by your expected living wage
add cost of materials and expenses, fuel, consumables etc.

The price sounds about right to me. You have done a lot more than a few remedials. Does he expect you to pander to his 'move this switch up by 15mm and 40mm to the left' fussiness for free!

Has the fella tried to stiff you for £750 of the second payment? Not quite followed what you wrote. I hate customers that try that kind of ----. Thankfully they are a rarity I find.
