evening everyone,can anybody help me,today the building inspector has pulled me up on fitting smoke detectors between some 3"x2" beams @ a barn conversion i have just wired,they are mounted directly on the plasterboard ,he wants me to bring them flush with the beams,cant find anyting in electrical regs,does anybody know if this is building regs,thanks mark.
