Long story short, builder I do a fair bit for, in a rush tried fitting some customers light fittings ! Prob caused a dead short and has said breaker tripped but also a pop from luminaire ! Sent me a pic of LED driver that he said had back blown off it ! It seems lower rating than most and I can't seem to source anything similar, going to try wholesalers tomorrow and go try sort his mess out !
It's mains in and secondary is listed 5V DC & 400mA.
Most seem to be standard 10-12V Dc. Any ideas ? He says it's tiny smaller than a match box but if bigger can be hidden above in ceiling. Thanks all

strange one that. ..... and tell him he needs to get his beard trimmed.

Only RS and mouser but bigger than a matchbox 60.30.22 or 77.40.29. Greater wattage.

Take away the tax dodges and you lose business!!
So long as the wattage is higher and the voltage the same then it should be fine for a power supply, they usually do not require a minimum load like a transformer.

Excellent, yes tax dodges is bang on over here ha ha, so corrupt the government here !
Just been down to place and besides some capacitive coupling on the strappers the issue was found to be that the builder decided the flexes to £500 + lights needed shortened so did so then in fitting together again took the drivers and having a brown/ blue one side for primary 230V and red /black other side to Led he saw old colour red / black twin at ceiling and decided it must be red /black to same colours and sent mains to secondary on driver ! Brilliant ha ha
