I have to repair a streetlight on a private estate. There has been quite a lot wrong with it; the DNO has replaced their fuse, I have changed the bulb but the thing still doesn't go on! Up until now I have had two 'rides' on a cherry picker that was on the estate to repair roofs and he was doing me a favour letting me up for 5 minutes but later today I have been promised a cherry picker and plenty of time to get up to the gear tray, again. This time I will test it and assuming the cables from the fuse up to the geartray are ok, I'll look for reference numbers for the gear tray and the PIR on top.

Does anyone know a good place or a website to get replacement gear trays and PIRs for streetlights?

Neweys tend to keep a reasonable stock of ballasts, ignitors etc. I think you may mean photocells not PIRS ?
