I'm looking at getting a proving unit. Does anybody have a Testmate? The Testmate PU100 looks exactly the same as the Megger MPU690 for about £30 less. Just wondered if there is a difference?

It's also similar to Socket and See SP200 proving unit. I think you will find it's based on a generic Chinese design which is re-branded by a number of test gear companies, some of which probably use the whole Chinese produced custom assembly, whilst others may just purchase custom plastic case mouldings and add their own circuitry.
