Hello everyone.

I’m looking for an Electrical Improver job and lots of the job advertisements says I need an IPAF.
None of them actually say which IPAF. There is 1b, 3a and 3b and there is a harness training too.
These jobs are in London on construction sites.

Thanks a lot in advance.

you will have to ask them specifically.
I would expect scissor lift and possibly Articulated boom are the 2 likely requirements.

I would imaging the two most needed would be 3A (scissor lift) & 3B (cherry picker). 1B is normally for van mounted but also covers tracked cherry pickers with outriggers. Depends what sites you are working at. Personally I don't use scissor lifts, just tracked and wheeled cherry pickers so I'm 1B & 3B

Thanks everyone. The training center Im looking at in Croydon has the 3a and 3b for £245 ex VAT which is what I was gonna do but then I saw 1b in a bundle with the other two for £475 ex VAT and I got confused. There is an agency who always put IPAF required for their job ads so I might give them a call as well.

Thanks again🙏
