Hello.

I currently use a Megger MFT1552 but am starting to think that it is beginnng to show its age and that I should invest in a new tester.

I am open to suggestions as to what I should buy. Anybody got any thoughts? I want something robust and easy to use.

Cheers.

That is good tester you have right there. You've got the basics plus ramp and Auto RCD. The 1720 is the replacement equivalent if you just gotta spend yer money :)

think mdj is considering selling a 1720. try him.

I would keep the 1552 until it is definitely done. It is a great tester. Mine packed in last year and I replaced it with the 1720. While it is a great tester I liked the 1552 more. Only difference is the 2 wire no trip earth loop test which doesn't always give that reliable results.
