Hi, I was looking with my current employer to become a fully qualified electrician, I wasn't sure of the 5357 apprenticeship route or completing level 2 and 3 2365 ? The course I was offered for the 2365 also includes the AM2, solar PV and domestic electric charging, but would I pay extra for that on the apprenticeship route ? I have 5 years experience in the electrical/ mechanical industry aswell, thanks

what is your employment status at present?

he should pay for whatever courses you need. i'm unsure of the 5357, as the 2357 levels 2 & 3 are the usual route to get onto nvq3 and am2.

Yeah I just thought the apprenticeship route might be more valued and a safer option If you like. The 2365 route seems to include more though

you can do 2365 as part of apprenticeship. years ago it was 1 day a week at college. known as day release.
