Oil pipe doesn't enter house - it IRS to the boiler in the shed from which all the pipework to the house is plastic. House is tt.

Your just unreal mate ....16 posts before you decide to tell us, that the incoming pipe to the house is NOT copper, ...Geezus!!

I must admit that I was a little suprised to find out in post 16 that the house is TT.

Yes, all pipework throughout the house is plastic, incoming water is plastic but oil is metal.

Quite the opposite in fact, he clearly states here that the oil pipe into the house IS metal!!!
