"Hello All",
I have been a subscriber to the IET `Wiring Matters` Magazine for many Years [previously IEE].
I was signed up by an IEE Electrical Engineer when I asked them for clarification about a Boiler which was installed in a Bathroom [Room Sealed appliance] Zone 3 - [but `reachable` by...
Out of interest, what 'amended to' date are other people now putting on their certificates these days, given that there have been two further amendments since No.1 of 2011 (complete reissue of Section 710 medical; addition of 722 electric vehicle charging)? Common sense would suggest the 2013...
This will be forced upon us next year. I have seen the changes and they are mainly around the Zs values for disconnection times, and some significant changes to the application of RCD's. I think that these changes will be significant enough for a new regs book to be printed, and this obviously...
For those that enjoy reading the regs, the draft for public comment of amendment 3 is available for download.

You need to log on, but anyone can.
Sticking to the PV aspects, there are some minor tweaks to section 712 that:
- clarify where the...

So even more expense with a new book and course to sit :(
Hi all,
after waiting along time for the amendment to show its head I have finally read it for the first time today. This like all amendments has raised a number of questions that I haven't yet managed to answer. The first being; has kitchens been taken out of the Building Regs "Special...
Hi,
I was just talking to a client today and he said he heard that this year we will have the second amendment for the BS 7671.He also said that the third amendment is already being planned for 2015. Do you know anything about it?
I had enough about upgrading the books I have.
Thank you!
Hello all,
I have a hard copy on the book but after spending £25 on the book and refuse to spend another £25 on a PDF version for the iPad.
Does anyone have a copy I can cheekily have please or a point to a site to download.
Many thanks
Hi Guys
Been a member for a while on the sidelines. Spark for 10 years domestic and street lighting with PV and some motor work inbetween. Posting in order not to get deleted. My question is do we have to retake 17th edition updates for amendment 1?

Hello
straight to it, do I need to do another blinkin' exam now?
I've got my 17th (when it came out, 2008). Will I have to show another certificate when my renewal with the robbers-I mean scheme providers comes up?
Or will I just need to own a copy of the BGB and answer any questions...
Has anyone come across any revision papers yet for the new exam? If so where can I get my mitts on them, so far I've found none and want to start getting some practice in. Cheers in advance. :)
