"Hello All",

I have been a subscriber to the IET `Wiring Matters` Magazine for many Years [previously IEE].

I was signed up by an IEE Electrical Engineer when I asked them for clarification about a Boiler which was installed in a Bathroom [Room Sealed appliance] Zone 3 - [but `reachable` by putting one foot onto the Floor] just after the Zones were specifically defined for Electrical fittings within Bathrooms - possibly in the 16th Edition of the Electrical Regulations [?]

Today was the launch date of the new Email version of `Wiring Matters` - it is no longer being sent out in printed form - articles are available to download in PDF form so can easily be saved and printed from etc.

I thought that some Members might be interested in reading the IET description of `Amendment No.3 to BS 7671 entails.

Here is a link to the IET webpage:

Amendment Number 3 to BS7671:2008 - Wiring Matters - IET Electrical

There is also another Link within the Article which takes You to more details about the Amendments.

I wondered if this would be of interest - perhaps You all know about this already from the IET Guide - ?

I am NOT `trying to be Funny` in posting this - I genuinely thought that it might be helpful.

Regards,

Chris

"Hello nickblake",

My explanation is about why as a Heating Engineer I am a subscriber to the IET Wiring Matters magazine - I am describing the circumstances of about 18 - 20 Years ago [Guess].

Thanks for your interest - are these Amendments already well known by Electricians - ?

Regards,

Chris

"Hello alanl",

Thanks for your message.

I wondered when I read reference to `November 2014` in the IET article whether these Amendments were being published as a `Leader` for the first Email / Online Edition of the IET `Wiring Matters` magazine - and that this might have been `News` for the Electrical Industry.

As I mentioned I posted the Link / my message with the best intentions.

Regards,

Chris
