I have installed two rcd sockets in a plant room where I work I done this using 2.5 swa cable on a 16amp rcbo as there sockets will rearly be used the length is 15 m long is this ok

I disagree,
if there is a neutral to earth fault which device would trip?
unless there is a time lagging device like you have in a site MDU,
either the RCD or RCBO could trip and could result in a headache later
I would suggest that you downgrade the RCBO to an MCB.
The SWA has earthed armouring so an RCBO is not require

I think the OP means the sockets are RCD protected by having used an RCBO. In which case all is well.

yes I understand that,
if there is a Neutral to Earth fault on the device that is plugged into the RCD socket then there are 2 Residual Current devices in series in the circuit.
As I stated before either of the RCD, or the RCBO could trip.

If my reading of the OP is correct then they aren't 'RCD sockets' - just normal sockets connected to an RCBO.

ok
I see what your saying.
if they are normal 13amp sockets being used as RCD sockets because they are protected by an RCBO,
yes I agree that would be ok

Sorry if I caused any confusion

I have read it about four times,it says to me,t he has run one swa 2.5mm fed from 1No 16amp rcbo, terminated to feed 2 No rcd sockets

Its a good enough confusing statement to compare with a lot of the regs

Doble - could you please enlighten us?!

Well Rockingit, at least we agree about somthing

I also don't disagree with you that if he HAS installed RCD sockets on an RCBO circuit then it's not a good solution!

Seeing as there's a lot of agreeing and dis agreeing going on

I will agree with dis agreeing, and disagree that I only agree just to dis agree

I thought it was just me that had been on the pop.......

Must admit, it reads to me that the socket-outlets are RCD type, and they are also protected by an RCBO.
Don't see the need for any RCD protection, unless the socket-outlets are to be used for mobile equipment outdoors?

Thats my thoughts Spin, are they for a specific purpose ? still no need for a RCBO and as it is plant room "skilled and instructed"?? as any one in there should either be trained, Skilled, and at least instructed,
