18v Combi Drill and/or Impact Driver

Hi

Looking for a few new additions to my power tool collection.

Looking for a 18v combi drill and/or impact driver, less than a year old preferably.

Ideally brand such as dewalt, makita, bosch, hitachi etc

If they are in a set and share the same batteries etc would be even better.

Let me know please

Don't know how much you want to spend but B&Q have some good deals on 18v combis at the moment. I picked up a Hitachi with 2x Li-Ion batteries for £100.

They also have Dewalt and Makita for the same price but with NiCad batteries.

thanks mate, yea that drill looks really good.....def prefer the idea of li-ion batteries instead of nicad.....off to B&Q i go

My 'mate' just got one of those hitachi drills from B&Q. I borrowed i tfor a few hours whilst we were on a job and was quite impressed. It's quite light in comparison to my makita li-ion so I wasn't sure if it would be able to pack a punch when on the hammer function but I seemed to cope with what I threw at it. When you compare that's screwfix are doing the same drill but with nicad battery's for £80 then the extra £20 to upgrade to li-ion is well worth it. Id have it as a second drill no worries.
