Hi all,

Ive been asked to install a fan in a bathroom of a 1 Bedroom flat, The problem i have is that the outside wall were the fan can only be installed is 3 quarter inch thick plastic sheet, the back of the fan will stick out around 2 inch when installed!! Is there any grills on the market at all that can cover this? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? The Fan cant go in the ceiling as its a flat roof building.

Any help much appreciated

Tom

An external wall only 15mm thick???!! But, if it is, it is, so.....only suggestion I can think of straight away is to 1) cut down the tunnel on the fan and 2) get your chippy skills out and build a little protector box to cover it on the exterior side.

Just a thought - you may want to scrutinise fire regs as making a hole that big through something that small might create fire barrier/ventilation issues.

Its very cheap council accomodation. Ive never seen anything like it to be honest! but if i cant get a grill then that sounds like the best option

Cheers
