Hello everyone, hope all are good in lockdown 3. Fyi This is gona be long....
I need some help, in more ways then one, but let’s stick to this for now.
I have 2 dimmer switches on either end of the Same wall so 4 In total which control 2 spot lights.
I was trying to change one into a smart switch which failed which epic proportions. Now I can’t seem to get one of the dimmer to turn off...
I’ll try explain the layout.
2 dimmer switch’s on the left have L1 L2 and a wave line. I have 2 black 2brown and 2 grey cables and a earth which is in a plastic case.
Both knobs I guess at the back have black as L1 brown as L2 and grey as wave (Neutral)
Simple lights work...

now the right is a wright head screw...
got same L1 L2 and wave. But there are two extra cables a brown and a brown with a blue over case.
So the right know has L1 as black L2 as brown and grey in the wave....
the knob on the left right now has L1 as brown and blue L2 as black and brown and grey as wave... I have tried every combination I can think of and I either get it on with out going off or off with no power to the light..
at this moment in time I have used far to much energy and time to try fix it.. any help would be appreciated when I figure out how to add pics I will...

Cheers

1st pic is of the left the 2way switch

I am seeing dimmers fitted to both ends of the 2-way switching, not one dimmer and one dummy / switch? Did it ever work as-is (before your experiment with the smart-switch) or are you fitting these for the first time?

The wiring is conventional (or would be, if the wires were in the right holes)

Hi yeah at one point all was well. I tried to change the 1st pic to the smart one with no luck... then thought the left two dimmers on the left side of the wall, let’s see how this has been wired...
Should of let it be...
I’ve got I think, the the one on the right working just the one on the left is not wiring right..
