I have been asked to install a cctv system. 2 cameras, 500gb/1tb dvr, monitor and remote access from iPhone. Can any of you recommend a good brand at decent prices.

Cost will all be down to quality of picture you require....300TVL will be low 800TVL will be good, HD or IP will be excellent...customers choice.

You need to make sure the customer has a static IP address, otherwise you will have problems connecting to it from another device.

Try System Q | CCTV Cameras | Manufacturer and Distributor of Dome Cameras and DVR Security and the Alien DVR's. Have installed a good few of these and they are excellent. Also they come with a Dynamic DNS IP address built in so no need for a Static IP address which can be an issue with other units. Good support also they can remotely set up DVR for you on clients router if you are not ok with router / network configs.
