when are serrated washers required. Someones told me that only metal painted surfaces require them although I’ve always put them on all metal surfaces.

It’s with regards hawke PL612 Exe junction boxes - the box doesn’t have the dimples on the earth continuity plate and the gland isn’t long enough to a serrated washer? What’s your thoughts?
