I live in a three-room condo in Thailand (220v 50 Hz). Our building has a large emergency generator for power outages and I have tapped into the feed via the hall lights (it's meant to only feed common areas). During outages, I have been running extension cords around my living room, kitchen/dining room and bedroom to power the fridge, computer, lighting, fans, TV, coffee maker, etc.
I just got an idea to easily provide power to the entire condo by: turning off the main breakers (one for each of the three separate feeds to the three rooms), then connecting the generator feed to a living room outlet (via a male to male plug), then connecting another male to male plug from a living room outlet to a dining room outlet and the same to the bedroom. This should tie all outlets and lights together thru the three circuit breaker boxes.
Assuming I pay careful attention to which appliances are on at the same time and do not exceed the capacity of my wiring, is there any problem with this setup? I looked in the circuit breaker box and breakers don't seem to have any line or load designations, so they should be two-way.
Thanks for any assistance on this.
