I have some disable up/down lighters bonded to the wall in a house I recently bought. Probably about 8 years old. One flickered irritatingly so I investigated.

They are not designed for disassembly but what I can see from above below they have a CREE XLamp XP LED top and bottom and another part which I presume is a voltage controller though there is no writing on this. I measured the voltage across them at their brightest, 10V.

So my questions:
1) What current diode would replace the CREE? I can't find the one I have on the internet.
2) If my problem is the driver unit what part might that be?

I rather suspect the driver. Is it likely two LED would fail together?

Thanks.
