congratulations. you has just passed all the criteria to become a masterLooks like a good idea to me. I'm in the middle of doing some decorating and I'm planning on putting a new socket in. If I just chisel out enough to glue the socket in then all I need to do is run a 45 deg channel to the new socket. The current one is already a spur so I'll just use 1mm cable (got a reel of black in the van) so that I don't overload it and job done. Saves on the cost of a back box and less work.
...and twist those CPCs together so that you can get them into the same piece of sleeving...Looks like a good idea to me. bare cpc is the way forwards
at least the cpc's are connected. seen loads cut off. down to the "cpc is to strip T/E, no other purpose" brigadeNot typical but a good or should I say bad example of things I find in people's houses. Although typically the worst is saved for rented properties don't you find?
This is what looks to be a hinge screw in the neutral block.
Yup. That second wire supplied the extractor fan while the hob was left unconnected. Boiler pressure at 5+ bar with filling loop boxed in as well. Don't think the 25 year old landlady did anything about it either. Is the thread wrapped in ptfe tape to make it fit tighter?!

it doesn't leak tese days. that's why tesla invented a.c. as edison's d.c leaked out. with a.c. all the electrons thatr try and leak out are then pulled back by the 180 negative cycle. and it's a never ending thing 50 times a second.No.....It's to stop the electricity leaking out.
How to relocate a consumer unit, quite why they felt the need to relocate it when it was replaced is anyone's guess.View attachment 63379
