OK I will bite, what are the Green/Yellows by passing the RCD for.My own dodgy pic. Been testing an empty school with a non time delayed 100ma main switch rcd on TT. It was being a right royal pain in the --- so I took it out of the equation, safe me thinks so.View attachment 100878
Did he have a machine gun?had a customer call to say she had a kitchen fitter in to fit a new cupboard around the boiler and he thinks he may of hit a cable
So after chopping out two layers of tiles and some dot and dab found thisView attachment 100816
To stop nuisance tripping whilst testing. It is not time delayed and it kept tripping before the rcbos plus it made testing of the non rcbo circuits easier.OK I will bite, what are the Green/Yellows by passing the RCD for.
Really odd set up the cabling went from the consumer unit over the fence and into the garage behind supplying lighting and another double socket in 1mm t&e which the owner has been plugging a 13A EV car charging lead intoLooks like an old builders site temp ?

This is a strange one, seeing as it's been in and operating for years.
Found it today, in operation, of course.

electrical conduit from China? There's a gas pipe going into that socket!
You mean an impact, Surely? The face fixings screws where probably tightened with a torque screwdriver.
You mean an impact, Surely?
(Go on… someone say it!)
Clearly stupid as they did it to both screws without learning from the 1st!You mean an impact, Surely?

People have some weird ideas. Not much work on so give the lads paint and brushes to make things look a bit tidier and that's the result....It doesn't cover up the sh8te standard of work of the additions and alterations, though. It's a few years back now but some RCD sockets had to be changed after being painted over. There's a gas pipe going into that socket!
So they have a job changing the RCD socket, eh? Swap it, fix it back....oh, the lugs have snapped.....let's just leave it????The face fixings screws where probably tightened with a torque screwdriver.
