Hello Gents,
I have to carry out an earth loop test on several fluorescent lighting circuits, can anyone advise of the least intrusive but quickest means of carrying out these tests.

Thanks

I am guessing that you are doing a periodic of some sort. If so then just sample 10% of them, record it as a LIM agreed with client as long as there is nothing else that gives you cause for concern or no non compliances rear their ugly faces from the chosen sample.

Unfortunately there is only one way to EFLI test them that i am aware of, so its out with the tools.

Cheers………….Howard

If its extra awkward to get to the fittings to take the reading ,maybe take it at a switch, then do a earth continuity test to each fitting with a long lead and a pole
