earthing a SMA tl inverter

we are installing a sma 15000tl inverter on a metal king span building, i know that you are supposed to earth TL inverters but what if the whole building i Metal and already earthed

What kind of earthing system is it?

I would say bond array to steel work of building, checking that the steel work is sufficiently bonded already.

And be aware of potential surge protection requirements..........and possible RCD protection requirements....

I can't think of any regulation, aside from the system being TT, which would mean the system would need RCD protection?

Good point - I hadn't considered that this is possibly an agricultural building.
