Can any one tell me if you need em lighting in a student house max of 5 people over 3 floors
I am wiring a fire alarm system at the moment I have told the landlord that I think em lights are needed
(has anyone got a copy of BS5266 by any chance)

thanks.

That would be a yes mate.On each of the landings and at the bottom of the stairs. Is there any fire escapes in the building.

its an old Victorian terraced house front and back door.
I have been looking on the net and can't find a lot of information on lighting.
away from lighting I did see something about all doors except bathroom should be fire rated with automatic fire closers
can you shed any light on this???

i do know that all student accommadation should have fire rated doors anyway.I don't have a copy of BS5266 but i did post this yesterday. It may help.
Files Express 5266 part 2
