my makita broke, but was repaired under warranty.
i think they are spot on, can't beat cordless stuff for convienience. theres no difference between power output from mains, the batteries last long enough for whatever i'm doing.
what i will say is don't treat it as a replacement for a circular saw, just use it for the jobs that nothing else can do otherwise it costs a fortune in blades, takes longer and you will hammer the multitool (or break it like I did)
