Evening all, going to france in august, never been proper camping before, campsite has 16 amp power points provided, am i right thinking its just a standard 16amp commando socket? blue jobbie? never been, but rigging up some lighting and charging points for the tent....

Beware of incorrect polarity i believe it is quite common on French campsites and Europe. Maybe make up a lead to check with your socket tester commando socket one side and trailing socket on one end so you can just be sure.

Was not looking for easy way out, I can google all night long, was looking for experience from forum members if they had physically been there and done that!
 
Last time I caravaned in France about 10 years ago quite a lot of sites used Shuko sockets and you needed an adaptor. The biggest issue I've come across with sites in France and Spain is reversed polarity the easiest way round this is to have 2 adapters 1 wired normally the other reversed
