good evening,

brain has gone walkabouts tonight

can i put a 13amp switch fused spur from a spur i.e

sockets ring main - spur- switched spur?
the load is only a t.v nothing heavy

alternative would put the swicth fuse in before the spur, then spur off the spur but like to avoid as decorated house
its all rcd etc.
thanks

if its fcu first then you can have as many sockets as youd like. if the spur is feeding a socket then that has to be end of the line. regardless of load theres potential for overloading the cable.

Putting the fcu after the spur would be just the same as adding another socket so a no no, can it not go by the side of the spur and go to that first then you can add sockets til your hearts content, or the fuse blows, one of the two, or by the side of the socket its spurred from

Remove existing 2G socket, replace back box with dual box, install S FCU on ring, then single and as may accessories as you like there after.

agree, however in theory theres no problem IMO, but we have to adhere to the men at the IEE in suits don't we?

Of course there's a problem.
There's a possiblity that the conductors may become overloaded, if more than one accessory is wired to an unfused spur.

Hmm yes In theory I suppose, well Okay I suppose 27 amps could be exceeded on the leg in a house

Ok I did wonder,
fused spur before the initial spur it is then.

I can't tiger Paul as the spur is a socket and there would be no overload protection
