Hello Beautiful people.

Never thought of this one before...
I have a customer who reckons his gas oven strike unit which is plugged into a socket is tripping the sockets rcbo.
I'm about to trek over to look at it but just pondering if it is safe for me to do an insulation resistance test on it??
If it's tripping due to an insulation issue can I be risking gas ignition by doing the test ?
Anyone come across this before with any suggestions?

It's safe at 250 volt for the test.
Check that the flex actually has an earth wire before getting involved.

Because it's subjected to just under 250 volts in normal use.

Connect the line and neutral together, test to earth at 500v.
