Right,so starting torque is over-loading it,and your fuse has saved you from real-time balance testing that blade,at max rpm x 2 ;)

I know the set up,as i spent many hours on a Lister table saw,and then converted it to a 540 tractor PTO drive...obviously,skipping the many current covenants, regarding HSE.

You will have the blade cover off? and probably even the riving knife...so,take care, fella. :)

Thanks!! Think it’s going to be a case of a second hand saw. Same price as a new motor!

Point taken & understood about max rpm x 2!

@PEG . We also had a little Dexta with a rear end muck loader . I absolutely hated it . I blame that for my bad neck.
My favourite was the Massey 65 and my little International 414 , then the rot set in and we got a Zetor...

Them 3 cyl Dextas are big money, now, and the 65 was a great tool, the newer 165 with Multi-power,even better.
I have no issue with the Zetors, and still end up doggin the odd one up,having rebuilt a front hub epicyclic unit,on a 7245 4wd,last year.

Two speed, independent PTO,separate heads and liners easy out, centrifugal oil filter...Good ole' Czecks

To be honest I never got to work on the Zetor . But after I went to a 'proper job' they had a lot of bother with it . It was one of the first imported to this region . I must admit it drove nice . Going back to the early /mid sixties here.
The Massey 65 was nearly bulletproof.
I drove one again a few years ago on a neighbours old farm that had not changed in 70 years . Sadly he is gone now , but some of the 3 hundred year old buildings are almost still standing.
