My name is Jack I am 16 years old and I am looking for a work experience placement for week beginning the 3rd Feb 2025, I need to complete 16 hours work experience and would love the opportunity to complete this with an electrician.
I currently attend Trafford college in Altrincham and was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on where to find a placement please ?

Do the schools down south not offer work placements as part of the schooling

I have a 15 year old kid now who has been with me since September (2 days per week), he still does the school stuff and the work experience is treated as a bonus- if the don't play well at school the work experience gets removed

He now has a route to the pre apprenticeship (route to trades) course at college next year (starting in August). This will lead to an apprenticeship

I have contacted a few local companies, unfortunately they either don't take on or have already done so. I am in the process of contacting more.
This is the career I would really like to go into. I live in the M23 area.
I will apply to join the trainee section as recommended.

Unfortunately schools in my area didn't offer work placements as part of schooling and I left school last year.

I would really like the opportunity to begin an apprenticeship.
