impossible to tell from that. get your electrician to confirm cable size before ordering shower.

10mm and 6 mm refers to the CSA of the L and N conductors NOT the overall dimension of the cable, what size in KW is you're shower?
He/she would more than likely have some cable in the Van

A lot of manufacturers emboss the cable sizes on the outer sheath, they can be difficult to see but wiping a dirty finger over them often helps.

If you are getting an electrician to put the new shower in then probably best to get them to come around first and take a look at the cable. The difference between 10mm and 6mm is pretty easy to tell just by looking at it. They could also peek inside the isolation switch as they could see the earth. On 10mm cable the earth has a number of strands to it. 6mm just has one solid core as it's earth.

Thanks all for the replies.

The electrician is proper hard to get a hold of so was wanting to have the shower sitting waiting there ready to install all on one day.

There are some stamps on the cable/ looked the whole way but just gives the manufacturer and bs6004.
(I don't know why the size isn't just stamped on the cable)

Someone above said that it impossible to tell from the measurement- I did come across this (attached pic) online and the above measurement looks to be about 17mm ?

Posted above there again, but also some extra info: The Box shows the shower fuse as 'B40' if that helps any?

That's got to be 10mm hasn't it? Is there any 6mm twin and earth cable that has an earth like that? If so, I have never seen it before.
Is there any imperial cable that may look like that and be <10mm?
