Lighting problem. One switch wont work without the other being on

Just replaced my double light switch now one switch wont work unles the other is on. I have the main power going in to the com then a wire leading from that into the other com then both circuits going in to the 2 L1 holes. I will try and get a picture up

Are you positive that you have the livefeed connected to COMMON?

You’ve wired the switches in series with each other when you should have put them in parallel.

Its the thick black wire with red tape on it the ither 2 are thin red wires.

Ok thanks i will have a look again. All the wires are red apart from the thick black one. Is that an american thing?

So was the 'thick' black wire the live feed like you thought it was?

One of those cables is live in you would need to find out which one it is first and that goes into the COMMON which links to the other.
