Hi all. Have a mazda bongo. Have a short on one circuit. The circuit includes central locking, radio and internal lights. I have removed lamps and they look fine. Are there any tricks to finding fault or is it just trace the colour cable till I find break? Thanks

Faults normally occur where cables are connected to equipment or where they pass through bulkheads and round corners so those are the areas to concentrate on but in a nutshell you have described the procedure.

Remember it may be the equipment itself so disconnect things one by one first and test the circuit resistance for faults, then follow cables.

Also where the wiring is routed into doors and tailgates etc normally enclosed in a rubber outer sleeve the continued open and shutting can caused havoc with the enclosed wires !
