I have a metrel test kit, and have started having issues with the continuity test on it, when I press the test button, with the leads open, it gives a reading of either 0.2 or 0.8 ohms, can't seem to get hold of metrel, has anyone had experience of this too???

What model
I have a euro test AT and have had no problems, apart from high continuity readings in overworked leads.
What happens with leads disconnected from the meter

If I disconnect the leads and press test I still get a reading, normally 0.8ohms??
