I’m nearly a qualified electrician and I’m looking to change from mainly domestic jobs to more of the commercial/ industrial side. I’m just wondering how difficult will it be and what type of work should I expect to be doing?

For yourself Or for a firm ?

Principles of wiring is still the same just the size of cables , install methods is different. You will need to read up on emergency lighting , fire alarms etc

For a firm mate done a bit of emergency lighting and fire alarm installs, what’s the containment side like does it take long to get used too?

If you can thread a bend and bit of 20mm tube , make off Swa and cut a bit of trunking straight you will be fine : )
